The word Reiki is Japanese, Rei meaning universal and Ki meaning life-force energy. The Chinese word is Chi and the Indian word is Prana. Reiki was rediscovered bt Dr Mikao Usui in the late 19th century and he went on to develop the system of Reiki healing as we know it today.

Reiki is a wonderful healing energy, gentle yet powerful. Once you are connected to it, it is yours for life, for whenever you need it for yourself or others, or for any living thing. It has transformed our lives....it can transform yours too.

Level 1 Reiki is sufficient if you want to use it on yourself or family and friends. If you intend to treat professionally you will need at least Level 2. Level 3 enables you to work with the master level of energy; it does not qualify you to attune others. We are also able to offer an intensive Reiki Master Teacher course for those who have attained all three levels and would like to teach Reiki to new students.

The method of Reiki is simple and highly effective. Anyone can learn Reiki in 2 days and it can be used for self-treatment as well as helping others. The flow of energy starts as soon as you place your hands on yourself or another. Reiki works really well with other complementary therapies such as massage, reflexology, aromatherapy and homeopathy.
